The Dyslexia Academy at Innova Prep is built around one conviction: students with dyslexia deserve expert intervention and a full college preparatory experience — at the same time, in the same school.
Our certified Dyslexia Therapists deliver evidence-based, Orton-Gillingham structured literacy instruction through small-group therapy and maintenance sessions. Every student progresses through a defined therapy track, with fidelity to the instructional model monitored continuously. Students who complete therapy continue in Dyslexia Maintenance, ensuring gains are sustained throughout their academic career.
Certified Dyslexia Therapy Within a College Prep Environment
Most schools make students choose: get the intervention they need, or stay on a college-bound track. At Innova Preparatory School, that choice doesn't exist. The Dyslexia Academy delivers certified Orton-Gillingham and structured literacy instruction. Students receive intensive, evidence-based dyslexia therapy from certified dyslexia therapists who all have a Master’s degree or higher while earning real credits toward graduation at a school built to get them to college.
How the Dyslexia Academy Works
Students in the Dyslexia Academy receive structured literacy instruction woven into their school day. Each student in our active small-group therapy receives individualized sessions using sequential, multisensory methods proven to build decoding, fluency, spelling, and reading comprehension from the ground up. When students finish therapy they progress dyslexia maintenance class.
Progress is tracked using validated assessments, and instruction adjusts as students grow. Classroom teachers and dyslexia therapists coordinate directly so that whats being built in therapy is reinforced across all subjects. The result is a student who doesn't just learn to read — they learn to succeed in a college prep classroom.
The Dyslexia Academy serves students in grades 1–12. Entry is available at any grade level following an initial assessment to determine instructional starting point.
Mississippi Dyslexia Therapy Scholarship Accepted
Innova Preparatory School is an approved provider for the Mississippi Dyslexia Therapy Scholarship Program. Eligible students can use this scholarship to help cover tuition costs associated with certified dyslexia therapy instruction at IPS.
We walk families through the application process from start to finish. If your child has a diagnosis of dyslexia, you may qualify for funding that makes enrollment at IPS possible a significant discount.
