MS Dyslexia Scholarship

Innova Preparatory School is one of only five state-approved schools for the Mississippi Dyslexia Therapy Scholarship — a program that provides funding for qualifying students to receive certified dyslexia therapy at an approved private school.

If your child has been diagnosed with dyslexia and is not receiving adequate services in their current school setting, this scholarship may cover a significant portion of tuition at IPS.

Our team has guided many families through the application process. We're here to help you understand your options and take the next step.

What Is the Mississippi Dyslexia Therapy Scholarship?

The Mississippi Dyslexia Therapy Scholarship Program provides state-funded financial assistance to eligible students with dyslexia or related reading disorders to access certified dyslexia therapy instruction. For families in Mississippi, this scholarship can make enrollment at Innova Preparatory School — an approved provider — financially accessible.

The program is administered through the Mississippi Department of Education. IPS is fully approved to receive scholarship funds on behalf of qualifying students, and we actively assist families through every step of the application process.

Does My Child Qualify?

To be eligible for the Mississippi Dyslexia Therapy Scholarship, students generally must:

✔ Be a Mississippi resident enrolled in or eligible to enroll in a Mississippi public school
✔ Have a diagnosis of dyslexia documented by a licensed professional
✔ Require certified dyslexia therapy instruction as part of their educational program

Eligibility details and documentation requirements are set by the Mississippi Department of Education. If you're unsure whether your child qualifies, contact our admissions team — we'll walk you through the requirements and help you determine your options before you commit to anything.

How to Apply for the Scholarship

The application process involves a few key steps, and IPS will support you through each one:

Step 1: Confirm eligibility. Gather your child's diagnostic documentation and contact our admissions team to discuss whether IPS and the scholarship are the right fit.

Step 2: Complete the MDE application. Applications are submitted through the Mississippi Department of Education. IPS will provide all required provider documentation on our end.

Step 3: Submit enrollment paperwork. Once your scholarship is confirmed, we'll move forward with the IPS enrollment and intake assessment process.

We've helped families navigate this process before. You don't have to figure it out alone — call us and we'll tell you exactly what you need and what to expect.

How Much Does It Cover?

The scholarship amount and coverage structure are determined by the Mississippi Department of Education and may vary based on the student's level of need and available funding. IPS will provide a clear breakdown of tuition costs and scholarship application amounts during your admissions conversation so you can make an informed decision.

For many families, the scholarship covers a significant portion of tuition.
